“The Lord’s church“…That’s what they often say to the congregation. This ensues to me that they are the ONE and ONLY church of the Lord.
Very interesting…
They used to be very hard core but I understand they have calmed down a bit over the years. It’s interesting to see how the church changes over the years. I understand that many of them no longer believe they are the only ones “going to heaven” Many of them probably still believe that…The Lord’s church.
Ironically many of then are not sure if they themselves are gonna get there. They, like so many others, tend to lean towards the “works” side of salvation. They teach that water baptism is absolutely essential…That sacrament is a “work”
I received a lot of theological training from the church of Christ. And that is all good. But theological viewpoints are always changing with this blogger…
I’m still searching…And that’s part of growth.
Other Hip Rants:
- Do Mormons Own Pepsi?
- The Beatles – More Popular Than Jesus?
- Science – Proof of a missing day in the Bible?
- Coke or Pepsi – Which is better?
- What’s Wrong with Organized Religion?

They are still around – still alive and kicking. We have a blog where discuss/debate hyperconservative church of Christ people, started because of a group of rabid hyperconservatives that have a local TV show where they ambush other Christians and try to get them to say something damning or ridiculous. They’re a nutty lot.
