You ever heard this before? That Christianity is a “crutch”… It assumes that people can’t handle things on their own so they need a imaginary God to believe in that will take care of their problems for them…
Booze and Drugs are a crutch too… People need them to get through life. Folks are just too weak to be able to handle problems on their own…They need religion or Drugs to help get through life.
Maybe… But then the drug crutch usually has serous consequences. It ends up destroying the user and everyone in contact with them… Becoming religious usually has the opposite effect. It gives hope and purpose to millions of lives.
Still people sure are skeptical of religious people… Most likely brought on by some kind of fundamental dogma imposed on them as a child. Or that’s what they claim. Or they see all the wrongdoings of some “Christian” people and assume that ALL of them are crooked.
Is Christianity a Crutch?
A belief in a higher power is most a good thing… Unless you get martyred I suppose…But then Jesus said that persecution for his sake is blessing.
