I saw a blogger post a Hipster Christianity quiz on Facebook.  What did I do?

Well, you KNOW I had to go ahead and take the quiz. — Do I qualify?

NO….

What? Thats right folks….It told me I was only moderately hip or something.  Can you believe those freakin guys? They said no….. Oh my…

As I was reading the questions I was tempted to take it again. I think I know now what the right answers would be to qualify me as a hipster, uh. religious dude.  Yeah…Thats me 🙂 Well…. Maybe..

That blog is really  nice over there.  I tried to subscribe but it doesn’t seem to work. I know he’s at the top of Google for his term.  I’m guessing the blog is to promote his book.

Hey man, if you stumble  by this post you should get your feed working.  I’d follow it. But then maybe a hipster is not so much into the “social networking” kinda thing.

Wait? He’s on Facebook too! Continue reading “Hipster Christianity?”

The Beatles – More Popular Than Jesus?

John Lennon told this reporter during an interview that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus.  Well… people tripped.  Firestorm on bad boy John.

So, what about it?

“Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn’t argue with that; I’m right and I will be proved right. We’re more popular than Jesus now; I don’t know which will go first – rock ‘n’ roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It’s them twisting it that ruins it for me.”

Oh my… What are we gonna do about this? We got a problem folks.

Looks like this deal brought a lot of attention to Jesus actually. I was wondering if they are more popular than Jesus right now? Those cat’s are still very popular.  Their fan’s (followers?) are pehaps more closely followed than Jesus’s.

One day a emergent Christian leader posted “The Beatles had it right” on his facebook page wall.  What was he talking about?  I dunno.  My guess is he was referring to their message of love and peace.

Hey… I dig the Beatles, and I dig Jesus. Can’t we all just get along?

Lennon said he didn’t know which would go first. Rock and roll or Christianity.  But, they are both here to stay. Ya know?

Does a Real Hell Exist?

Hell is real

I guess I’m on a hell kick now… This guy says it is a lie taught by all kinds of big name Christian leaders. Is this simply propaganda  to prey on peoples fears?

*singing “And it makes me wonder”

A Christian hoax?

Here is something Jesus said in the Bible about hell.

“You have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shall not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell.

And if your right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell” (Matt. 5:27-30).

Now, are those words to be taken literally?

  • Lust of the heart is just as bad as real cheatin’
  • If you did that poke your eye out
  • Did something wrong with your hand? Cut it off.

Most will teach that it’s figurative. Well, except for “hell”

The Hell Part is REAL

Uh oh 🙁

Why Do Christians Hate Harry Potter?

Christians hate the Harry Potter books. It’s undeniable. Just look at the media reports about how Christian parents around the country are trying to get the book banned from libraries and schools.

So, what’s the deal?

Should Christian’s hate Harry? Is that guy gonna bring down hellfire on society.. Lead millions of pre-teens to a everlasting vacation home at the lake of fire?

Do Christian’s really need to go to war with things?
Haha…That’s an idea for another post.. 🙂

Right now were talking about Harry – The teenage wizard guy.  The magic he does is “satanic” if I’m not mistaken. Black cat’s, ghost’s, haunted houses and evil tree’s and all that.  DEVIL stuff.

Then there’s the Twilight Saga Do Christian’s hate that too?

J. K. Rowling is raking in the millions because she made a deal with the devil. -They met at the crossroads.

Wait, that’s an idea for another post! I’m having a real brainstorm moment here.

Hey, it’s gettin’  kinda  stupid…. Do you agree?  Come on… Let’s dance.
