It appears that McCain’s campaign likes to use copyrighted material on ad’s over at Utube…They keep taking them down because this is against the law.
But then the artists of the music being used on the ad’s are getting exposure…Perhaps it would entice McCain supporters to buy the records. I dunno…
I wonder which music star would want to allow McCain to use their stuff for his ad’s? It seems that most popular culture musicians and actors lean to the left and generally are democrat…
I suppose Ted Nugent would allow McCain to rock some ad’s with some of his songs… You know Cat Scratch Fever or Stangelhold… Rock on… I love that guy..Ted….

Getting drunk and driving around is the #1 crime that’s broken out there. It’s just everywhere…. More people do that than shoplift.
Many get away with it… Many don’t.
I was always wondering what the difference is in DUI or DWI.Just in case I decided to go cruising and boozing again…
Wiki Says:
The specific criminal offense may be called, depending on the jurisdiction, driving while intoxicated (DWI), operating while intoxicated (OWI), operating a motor vehicle while intoxicatedOMVI), driving under the influence [of alcohol or other drugs] (DUI), driving under the combined influence of alcohol and/or other drugs, driving under the influence per se or drunk in charge [of a vehicle]. Such laws may also apply to boating (as in Canada[2]), piloting aircraft, and even bicycling in some states such as California.
Check that out… You can get a DUI on a bicycle in some states. What a trip. I’d probably wreck my bike before I’d get a DUI… But I dunno.
I never got popped for drunk driving… I often wonder why since I used to do it a lot. I just thank that dude in Heaven that I never killed anybody…. And now of course I know better. (I hope) 🙂
Take it from the hipster… If ya gotta throw back some brews then do it at the house or have a designated driver… Because they will throw the book at ya for disobedience. It’s a felony in this state on your 3rd offense… Of if the alcohol limit is too high… It just ain’t worth it… You dig?

So you wanna be a rock and roll star? Heck, so do I. Of course being at the right place at the right time may be the key to becoming one. But having a good look, music, and attitude also play an important roll… Agreed?
Here is some tips to becoming a rock star… Or at least a good popular music musician.
Start Young
The fact is most famous rockers get started EARLY. There’s just no way around it… The fans want young people to rock and roll… If your in your 40’s (like me) it may be time to just accept that it’s a hobby and your chances of making the big time are over… You are now a weekend warrior in the clubs or a church musician.
Listen to The Beatles
This is almost as good as going to music school. People have told me that they “don’t like the Beatles” well, whatever… But the way they constructed songs for popular music is unbeatable… (pardon the pun) You simply have to have strong well written songs to get attention…Mediocrity is everywhere. You have to stand out with good material.
Be Beautiful
With MTV and videos and stuff being a good looking person is mandatory. You may be talented as Buddy Holly, but if you don’t look good…Forget it. I know…Like Metallica says..Sad but true.
Live Performance
If your like me and others I know, churning out songs in your home music lab but not playing live means you WILL NOT get heard. You have to start a buzz in your home town to get some local notoriety first. Which brings me to my next point.
Get Famous at Home
Many people I have known thought you have to run off to LA or something in order to get famous…They usually end up here in Tulsa UNfamous… That’s just the fact of the matter… If your good you should be able to make it right where your from… Put your home town on the map and quit thinking you have to run off to some big town to make it.
Have a gimick
As I said before… You need to stand out. Getting up with your acoustic guitar and singing sweet James Taylor songs is not enouph… You have to be able to “entertain.”That may be with good MC skills and/or props to mezmerize the audiance.
Watch that Party Train
I sometime wonder if I would have become a famous rock star if I had not ever attended the Sunday Budweiser Brunch every week… Sex, drugs and rock and roll… A good work ethic without the party stuff can make you go places faster. Better, Stronger.
There are many tips I could think of but I gotta get to bed now… Heck,, I aint’ a rock star or anything… I’d have to pay for coke out of a working man’s salery to stay up all night like a rock star. 🙂
ROCK ON!

You ever heard that Stevie Nicks needed a little help from a roadie with her cocaine problem? Tis true my friends. That girl knew how to do some blow. Well sort of. This is the deal:
She supposedly had damaged her nose from so much cocaine use… She simply couldn’t do any more…So she had a roadie take a straw and blow it up her ass.
That sounds pretty extreme huh?
How badly could somebody want go get high… Well, this was before the invention of crack which does’t require snorting it.
Those 70’s drug bands played hard… I like Fleetwood Mac better than The Eagles. They were the 2 big drug bands back in the day.
I wonder if the Eagles did as many drugs as the Rumors Gang did?

Do you ever go church hopping? That is shopping around every week to a different church to see what it’s like. It is often hard to find a church that you can connect to and feel your making a difference for the “kingdom” -If that is your calling/goal.
Most of the time when I visit a new church the service is ½ empty. They often have huge sanctuaries’ that were built back when the church was much bigger. They will often have huge numbers of members on the books but they are obviously not sitting in the pew’s. Isn’t that strange?
I have heard it said that if the church doesn’t change soon then it will cease to exist within the next few decades. Church as we know it will be no more. Those Godly looking buildings, steeples, bells, fiery sermons and organs…You know, all that wacky stuff..
What can a believer in God do about this sort of thing? Why not just sit around on Sunday mornings and watch some entertaining Christian TV? You could make a little party out of it and have some friends over with some snacks to enjoy the show.
It’s nothing but a good time.
