Money cash

Is money they root of all evil? People have been saying that for years… So why do so many people want it? Why is money the root of what drives most people.  There is never enough of what we thought we wanted.

Money…. MONEY….. MONEY

Yes folks…. People are obsessed.. How do I know this? –

  • Check out the TV (advertisements)
  • Check out your neighbors (keeping up with the Jones’s)
  • Check out the stores (sale, SALE, bargains)
  • Check out who you work for (we got to cut costs)
  • Check out politics (need I say more?)
  • Check out Dave (I need a raise)

Betcha could add to that list?

I was thinking I could use some tennis shoes…. Hmmmm… Let’s see….The cheapest I saw (as of this post) at Nike was like $75.00 Wow…Those must be some pretty darn good tennis shoes… To famous bloggers that may be doable … But a hobbyist blogger like myself that works at a water plant….Well… I’d better go check the clearance bin somewhere. Ya know, shop around.

Everybody’s got their hand out….Gimme some money – I got’s to get paid.

Payday, bills, taxes, fees, costs, banks, loans, mortgages, insurance, utilities, credit, huh? What?
Wow…. I’ll never get all this paid… Uh… I don’t have any money….

Do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? If so, why?

Is it because the rich resent the poor because the poor want  their money…And the poor resent the rich because the rich have money that they don’t have? – Sound like circular reasoning?? Maybe. Something I can think about tonight when I go to work.

Hey! That reminds me… I owe I owe… It’s off to work I go…. A song so many of us are *singing*

Hmmm What does  Pink Floyd  have to say about it?

But if you ask for a raise its no surprise that they’re giving none away. away… away.. away….

“Money is the Root of all Evil” Am I pointing out the obvious? Well….What does the Bible say?

1 Timothy 6:10

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”

Just about sums it up doesn’t it?

There is never enough of what I can’t have. And right now I ain’t got none.
Do you?

Hay…. It’s no big deal, really… What is money for anyways?   SPENDING!  (It’s fun!)
