Laughing gas… Yep… I was buzzing while sitting in the torture chamber. I had dreams of rocking chair people and marmalade pies. And, my mind was still drifting in and out of the high piercing sound of the dentist’s drill..What a combination.

The appointment seemed to go on and on…But the time was well spent while I deeply inhaled. And of course the possibility of keeping my teeth for a few more years…But was that the real reason I went? Well, of course šŸ™‚

I floated on a cloud… Gee, the next appointment ain’t until January…That’s when my insurance fills up again… Guess I could always just get a few cans of whip cream… Nawww… It aint’ ALL that great after all…

Who Goes to Hell? Part 3

Well, living here in Tulsa the holy buckle of the Bible belt I am now considering that God, in his infinite wisdom grace and love is going to bring his plan of reconciling theĀ  ALL the human race to Himself. And that includes my pathetic ass… (Such as it is)

But what about the Bible?

  • His mercy endures forever. Ps 136, etc
  • With God “nothing is impossible.”Ā  Lu 1:37
  • What He desires He does. Job 23:13
  • He can do everything and no purpose of His can be thwarted. Job 42:2
  • Where sins abound, grace abounds much more. Ro 5:20
  • Christ draws (drags) all to Himself, not merely 2% of humanity. Jn 12:32
  • He propitiates the sins of the whole world, and not ours only. 1Jn 2:2
  • All families of the earth shall be blessed (Gen 12:3; etc.)
  • All the earth shall worship and sing praises to Him. (Ps. 66:3-4)
  • He destroys the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:8
  • The last enemy that will be destroyed is death (all death). 1Co 15:26
  • He is greater than He that is in the world! 1Jn 4:4; Etc.

Upon closer inspection and a bit of surfing on this internet I have came across some folks that seem to consider these things too. I may begin to read the New Testament again with this doctrine in mind and see if I get rebuked by the Spirit of truth.

Now, If I choose to go into this belief system the next question would be… Can somebody believe this stuff and still be a Christian? And, If I’m wrong does that buy me a ticket to hell?

Who Goes to Hell? Part 2

Who goes to hell? Well I suppose it’s people that deserve it huh? We all know or have heard of people that certainly deserve to go to hell for the terrible things they have done. It is, of course, assumed that Hitler is obviously in hell..

But what about that nice gay guy down the street. He is a really nice guy huh? But according to “The Bible” he is damned. And so is the new Hindu guy you met in your new humanities class at collage… He is “damned”

How do I know? The “Bible” tells me so right? See here:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS. (Matthew 25:41)

 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night… (Revelation 14:11),

Oh my… There it is. There’s gonna be a lot of folks in the fire… With my mediocrity in obedience and “Back Sliding Baptist” ways I question rather I’ll make it either… Oh I suppose I could repent on my death bed… (If I have time)

How should we examine the idea of hell? Eternal punishment for EVER! A permanent vacation home at the lake of fire!

Tho shall never get a drink of water…EVER!

Indeed I used to hear radio evangelists talking about a particular celebrity who had died… “Well, he’s in hell now… Unless he repented…And I doubt that he did”

It’s interesting hearing sermons about hell… Is the preacher actually “preaching” hell?  Or the “Good News” of escape from it by believing in Jesus? It’s sometimes hard to tell…

I am going to start a series of posts about the idea of hell and who is going there.And perhaps who is already there. This has been a fascination of mine for quite some time now…  I have blogged about hell before of course..

Things are changing in the Christian Religion. I wanna be with the good guys… Now, don’t you?

Lost – An Island of Mysterious Drama

My addictive nature seems to always take over.
The TV Show Lost was recommended by my friend over at UILabs. I thought I’d go rent the first DVD of the first season.

Then I proceeded to continue renting and watching every night until 1AM for about 2 weeks until I had watched every single DVD available.. What a trip huh?

Heck I know all those guys now… Jack, Kate,Charlie,Sayer… They are my bud’s… I still haven’t caught up with the TV series yet as they have not yet releasedĀ  season 5. What’s wrong with those guys? Can’t they see I’m Jonesen?

Now what other TV series should I start renting? It’s kinda fun because I already know what I want to get when I walk in the place… Usually 3 at a time of the season… I’m in and out of blockbuster in under 3 minutes… Think of all the time I save!
