Many people in Alcoholics Anonymous are, as they say “big book” thumpers… (Instead of “bible thumpers”) They believe that the Big Book has the answers to all of life’s questions. There has been some discussion about this over at the Oklahoma Addiction Network that I manage using the ning platform.
I believe that the 12 steps of recovery were certainly inspired by God and plan on discussing those over at my Christian Opinion site. But to say that the Big Book was actually written by God himself? That’s a matter of opinion… Which is what this blog is about anyways. LOL 🙂
But then there’s the Bible or the Koran. Are they actually “holy” scriptures? Were either one of them literally written by God? This is also a matter of opinion. 🙂
I have heard it so many times that King James “messed up” when he (his team of scholars) translated the bible to English. Of course is any Bible translation actually accurate?
But this post is about the Big Book(AA)… Not bible translation. And for a program that has worked for millions must be inspired by a higher power don’t you think?

I have looked high and low on the internet to learn how to become a cook and blow up my house. Turn my back yard into a toxic waist dump…. (Have the neighbors over for a backyard get together. Don’t forget your kids.)
Steps 1- 10 get’s you about a pound of meth… One days work and you can just sit around with no job and watch dirty movies. Make the big bucks… Of course the price is high when you get caught.

Oklahoma used to be one of the biggest Meth manufacturing states until the new democratic governor put restrictions on the cold med’s used in making the drug. You have to show your license to buy them from behind the pharmacy.
Do people here in OK still make meth? You bet… It’s easy…You simply send out your housefull of tweakers to go buy as much cold medicine as they can…Then meet back at the lab and cook away…
That is if you have the recipe. Which I don’t have… I guess it’s handed down from one crankster family to another. Because I don’t think its anywhere on the internet… Well, maybe I’m just not looking in the right place. There are ton’s of bad neighborhoods on the net that I choose to stay away from…

I am a “hard working” liberal. Perhaps if I had been born into money I wouldn’t be like this. I would be more conservative. But I guess I’m a product of my environment. Us blue collar guys need to be on the left… IMHO
I am amazed however at how many “poor” people like myself are republicans. They are probably listening to AM radio all day at work. Those guys are the “conservative media” I suppose those guys (Rush, Hannity, ETC) are needed to get us poor folks over into their camp.
It’s a Savage Nation -That guy is my personal favorite of the talking right heads.

Tonight is the final debate with Obama and McCain. What can a country do? Is McCain gonna kick his ass?
When this race started the big issue was ending the war over there in Iraq. People were getting tired of it going on year after year. Death after death. George Jr’s war mongering ways.
Now with this crash, the banks and everybody else seems to be going broke. This has taken over this race front and center.
I read in the Tulsa World today about this meltdown being caused by President Carter and Clinton or something. Way back many moons ago. But I see, er, Bush and Chaney running things for the past 8 years. It’s funny people want to go way back and blame Carter or something. I live in the here and now. Don’t most of us?
The “Liberal Media” (which I am part) is waiting in anticipation for the election to go over to Obama. Now you know this…
