Pink Floyd – Do They Trip on Acid?

Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands… I can trip on acid to almost any of their records all they way back to the beginning. If I tripped on acid 😉

They were the first to really do the “space sound” You know what I mean?

They are the poster children of Acid Music. Right? But were they actually acid junkies? Somebody recently was telling me that Roger Waters says he rarely ever took acid… He just enjoyed having a few beers…Wow… I thought it took acid to actually influence them to come up with that spacey sound.

Which perhaps leads me to another post for tomorrow (or sometime)

When I finally got a job that allowed me to grow my hair out without any consequences I finally set out to do that…The problem was that my hair was always in my face. It was a horrible thing because it was not long enough to pull back into a ponytail.

The solution? Put on a ball cap. I wore one for over a year until my hair was long enough to pull back out of my face. I became known at my new job as the dude that always wore that same hat. These new co workers thought it was something I always did…Wear a hat.

I told them I don’t ever wear a hat actually…That it just kept the hair out of my face….That’s good, they said…Because wearing a hat will make your hair fall out.

What? You gotta be kidding right?

George “W” Bush – The Movie?

I just watched the Oliver Stone movie “W” tonight about the life and times of Gearge Bush. It was quite a fascinating night of entertainment… I used to always blame EVERYTHING on him as a joke… Of course it’s not ALL his fault… But he sure got a lot of flack for his (or Chaney’s) decisions.

I don’t know… Oliver Stones movies are many of his own viewpoints and opinions. I’m always entertained by what he projects into his screenplays… He seemed to have many thoughts about Bush… I guess I had heard all of them before in the media but seeing them all on the screen made me think…

Was All of This Actually Part of His Life?

A party animal. Boozing like a wildman?
Constantly below his brother in the eyes of Dad?
Unable to hold a steady job for years?
Accepted to Harvard because of his Dad pulling strings?
Thrown in Jail at as a football cheerleader?
Became a born again christian?
Unable to admit or remember his mistakes?
Made a C average in education?

The list just goes on and on… Gearge W Bush. If that movie had any reality in it then I respect you now. In spite of your faults you came a long way… Perhaps Oliver doesn’t dislike you as much as I thought he would….And neither do I…

Weekend Fun with Guns

It’s Friday night.. Maybe it would be a good time to take your gun and go out drinking…I used to go out drinking. But never with a gun. Hey this could be something new for me. I always like new experiences!Perhaps I could go to the local Wal Mart… Buy a cheap gun and then do some bar hoping to see what happens.

It’s FRY day night after all… And the evenings still young! Then I could blog about it tomorrow. Providing I make it home alive. Do you think its headed for trouble?

Drug Testing For Welfare.

They plan to put a stop to it. “Get those people treatment” So, I guess if your on food stamps or section 8 and you come up dirty.. Your CUT off.. Good luck, you’ll need it. Surely it’s not that bad is it? Perhaps they will give you a few chances… I dunno…

Of course the problem with that is alcohol is legal. And even if they do test you they would have to test you while you are drunk or shortly thereafter or it wouldn’t make any difference anyways…

It’s kind of like when human services comes to check your home to take your kids away…If they find some marijuana in your home they take the kid’s right then and there…But what if they find a couple of 1/2 gallons of vodka? No problem. You just have a nightcap here and there.

Of course you still have to take a drug test to hold a job…Almost anywhere. But you can still drown yourself in whiskey and work anywhere.. It’s a strange world isn’t it?

Are People Born Gay?

Well isn’t this a political question… Are people born gay?

Evangelicals say no way…The gay community says of course…They call it “sexual orientation” Maybe I need to look up orientation in the dictionary:

the act of orienting
an integrated set of attitudes and beliefs
position or alignment relative to points of the compass or other specific directions
predilection: a predisposition in favor of something; “a predilection for expensive cars”; “his sexual preferences”; “showed a Marxist orientation”
a person’s awareness of self with regard to position and time and place and personal relationships
orientation course: a course introducing a new situation or environment

I went to elementary school with this kid, He was always chilling with girls…Years later I heard that he was gay… Is there a connection? It seems that most anybody I talk to says they know of somebody just like that… Gee there must be something to it.

Hey! You know there is always something to talk about when it comes to gay people… Marriage, rights, religion, damnation, sex, taboo, forbidden fruit, it just goes on and on and on and on and…….

Hey man, lets go get “stupid”

That’s what one cat told me when he wanted to go smoke a joint one time… Sure I went and lit up and all but the term really made me consider things…
DOES pot make you stupid? Heck why do you think they call it “dope”

I have always thought it was a rather harmless drug… Alcohol seems to kill more innocent (and not so innocent) people…The war on pot seems never ending expensive and pointless.

But does it make you stupid? Well, I dunno… Dude, but I made straight D’s and some F’s in high school back in the DAZE! -I think cause I was high… Even the idiots in pineapple express realized that they couldn’t seem to get it together because they were so high… I guess they did in the end though…

Nobody thought that movie was funny did they? Guess ya had to be high.. 🙂

It’s almost Valentines day… My love seems to have gone down the drain.. I dunno… I need to learn how to live by myself and love myself… Even if it’s just a little..

So What’s Love Got to do with it anyways? Is it just a second hand emotion?

That thrill of “falling” seems to be what I am addicted to… Love addiction… It’s hard to handle ya know?

What to do on Valentines day?

Mr. Right and Mr. Wrong

Always looking for the “right” guy to complete the girlfriend/wife..Whatever…It’s a strange world… I never seem to be “Mr Right” And Ms. Wrong ignores me all night… What a sight!

In the game of romance and relationships the fun never ends…And drama ensues..I guess I’m not a very good player…Working on now the 4th or 5th (can’t remember) failed relationship must mean that I got no business playing the game…

And look what it’s done for my blogging… It all came to a pitiful halt… Since I own this blog it’s my business now to start it back up… What can I say?

I can’t live with em. I can’t live without em… Gonna try falling in love with somebody else for a change….God perhaps? Been there before…And it was certainly the most solid relationship I ever had…
