Jenks OK Football. A Scandal?

We have one of the geatest high school football teams in the nation. Jenk’s OK Trojans. Simply put… We kick some booty.

Apparently they broke some rules by having a player on the team last year (2008) that didn’t actually live in the district and now we have to forfeit last years wins.

I understand that a parent of another player felt his kid was being shortchanged by allowing this kid to be on the team and letting him play in more games.  So he wrote some anonymous emails to get the team in trouble… Oh the humanity..

Gee I hope that word doesn’t get out as to who actually turned in this atrocity… Nobody likes a tattle tale. 

So whatta ya think? Did they actually do wrong?

Traffic – The War on Drugs!

Watched the movie “Traffic” the other day… What a fun ride… People ratting and honor students getting high talking about the futility of society… One of the Kid’s dad was the main player on the war on drugs. He got to talk about it with the president. Figure out the plan to stop people from getting high.
 
There were cop’s and robbers and kingpins all making plans too. They all had an agenda. It just goes round and round.  It just keeps raging…For decades.
It’s Hollywood of course… But if that stuff is even close to being true then it should be enough to make people think. But you you can’t learn any lessons from Hollywood. Those Hollywood types are all wacky liberal homosexuals anyways..  They don’t have a clue… (sarcasm)
 
But great movie anyways. Check it out at the $5.00 bargain bin at your local Wal Mart… It’s worth every cent… And you can watch it over and over!

A Beer with Obama

Well, I guess that guy’s pretty cool huh? Having a cold one talking about things… You know he smokes cig’s too…Beer makes you wanna smoke so I’m sure if he was having a bud light he probably sneaked a smoke on the side.

It’s funny you can have a bit of alcohol and attempt to take on the worlds problems…As the whiskey rises to your head the fierce determination to succeed comes with it…Drunk and 10 feet tall.

But the bottle can let ya down. To much of anything is to much of everything. But, having a beer and some big plans can’t be all bad.. Go Obama… This bud’s for you…

Laughing Gas Buzz

Laughing gas… Yep… I was buzzing while sitting in the torture chamber. I had dreams of rocking chair people and marmalade pies. And, my mind was still drifting in and out of the high piercing sound of the dentist’s drill..What a combination.

The appointment seemed to go on and on…But the time was well spent while I deeply inhaled. And of course the possibility of keeping my teeth for a few more years…But was that the real reason I went? Well, of course 🙂

I floated on a cloud… Gee, the next appointment ain’t until January…That’s when my insurance fills up again… Guess I could always just get a few cans of whip cream… Nawww… It aint’ ALL that great after all…

Who Goes to Hell? Part 3

Well, living here in Tulsa the holy buckle of the Bible belt I am now considering that God, in his infinite wisdom grace and love is going to bring his plan of reconciling the  ALL the human race to Himself. And that includes my pathetic ass… (Such as it is)

But what about the Bible?

  • His mercy endures forever. Ps 136, etc
  • With God “nothing is impossible.”  Lu 1:37
  • What He desires He does. Job 23:13
  • He can do everything and no purpose of His can be thwarted. Job 42:2
  • Where sins abound, grace abounds much more. Ro 5:20
  • Christ draws (drags) all to Himself, not merely 2% of humanity. Jn 12:32
  • He propitiates the sins of the whole world, and not ours only. 1Jn 2:2
  • All families of the earth shall be blessed (Gen 12:3; etc.)
  • All the earth shall worship and sing praises to Him. (Ps. 66:3-4)
  • He destroys the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:8
  • The last enemy that will be destroyed is death (all death). 1Co 15:26
  • He is greater than He that is in the world! 1Jn 4:4; Etc.

Upon closer inspection and a bit of surfing on this internet I have came across some folks that seem to consider these things too. I may begin to read the New Testament again with this doctrine in mind and see if I get rebuked by the Spirit of truth.

Now, If I choose to go into this belief system the next question would be… Can somebody believe this stuff and still be a Christian? And, If I’m wrong does that buy me a ticket to hell?

Who Goes to Hell? Part 2

Who goes to hell? Well I suppose it’s people that deserve it huh? We all know or have heard of people that certainly deserve to go to hell for the terrible things they have done. It is, of course, assumed that Hitler is obviously in hell..

But what about that nice gay guy down the street. He is a really nice guy huh? But according to “The Bible” he is damned. And so is the new Hindu guy you met in your new humanities class at collage… He is “damned”

How do I know? The “Bible” tells me so right? See here:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS. (Matthew 25:41)

 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night… (Revelation 14:11),

Oh my… There it is. There’s gonna be a lot of folks in the fire… With my mediocrity in obedience and “Back Sliding Baptist” ways I question rather I’ll make it either… Oh I suppose I could repent on my death bed… (If I have time)

How should we examine the idea of hell? Eternal punishment for EVER! A permanent vacation home at the lake of fire!

Tho shall never get a drink of water…EVER!

Indeed I used to hear radio evangelists talking about a particular celebrity who had died… “Well, he’s in hell now… Unless he repented…And I doubt that he did”

It’s interesting hearing sermons about hell… Is the preacher actually “preaching” hell?  Or the “Good News” of escape from it by believing in Jesus? It’s sometimes hard to tell…

I am going to start a series of posts about the idea of hell and who is going there.And perhaps who is already there. This has been a fascination of mine for quite some time now…  I have blogged about hell before of course..

Things are changing in the Christian Religion. I wanna be with the good guys… Now, don’t you?

Lost – An Island of Mysterious Drama

My addictive nature seems to always take over.
The TV Show Lost was recommended by my friend over at UILabs. I thought I’d go rent the first DVD of the first season.

Then I proceeded to continue renting and watching every night until 1AM for about 2 weeks until I had watched every single DVD available.. What a trip huh?

Heck I know all those guys now… Jack, Kate,Charlie,Sayer… They are my bud’s… I still haven’t caught up with the TV series yet as they have not yet released  season 5. What’s wrong with those guys? Can’t they see I’m Jonesen?

Now what other TV series should I start renting? It’s kinda fun because I already know what I want to get when I walk in the place… Usually 3 at a time of the season… I’m in and out of blockbuster in under 3 minutes… Think of all the time I save!

Cover Bands – Original Bands – Chrisitian Rock Stars.

I swore off playing in cover bands years ago. Now I’m playing in one… We are getting ready to earn some money doing it next week.

Guess that’s the difference between cover and original musicians. Playing covers get you paid right away.. Original projects are for artistic pleasure and the “dreams” of one day making tons of money… Of course somebody has got to actually like your stuff enouph to buy it.

Then there’s the folks doing music for God. It’s either covers or originals too so the same rules apply… They are just doing “cleaner” songs. There are still certainly “Christian Rock Stars”

The Qualities in Woman that Men Search For.

Many of the profiles for men on a dating site will have certain qualities that they consider attractive in a potential date…
Here is an example:

Looking for an easy going woman which means looking for a woman who will romp with me whenever I want and not get upset when I don’t call.

Looking for a woman who takes care of her body and is
attractive…meaning a woman who is 5’10 weighing in at a whopping 120lbs, long blonde hair blue eyes and a rack that comes around the corner 5 minutes before she does.

Looking for a woman that is secure and can take care of
herself…meaning that’s because I live in my mom’s basement and work at mickey d’s and my money goes for a VIDEO games and beer.

I like to take long walks, hold hands, snuggle on the couch and watch T.V. open doors for the ladies..which means I will get up to pee if I have to…I’ll touch you during commercials just to get your attention to grab me a beer…..Yes you can snuggle on the couch with me, just don’t touch me….Yea I’ll open the door but when we are done it’s on babyyyyy

I like a woman who can feel comfy wearing t-shirt and sweats or a lady who can dress up in heels for a night on the town…..Yea she better be able to wear t-shirts and sweats. Gotta be comfy when she is mowing the yard and she better be able to dress up and look dayum good fer my pals

I like a woman who knows what she wants…..yea she may think she knows what she wants but eventually I can change her to think she wants what I want…

I like a woman who isn’t controlling…..yup sure nuff that woman better cook me some dinner and BY GOLLY KNOW HER PLACE

I like independent women….OF course she must be able to drive herself home after a meaningless night of ….???
